How ENFACT Works:
For account protection, debit card transactions are monitored for potential fraudulent activity, including location changes, costly purchases, and new fraud trends. Contact the bank when using the card outside of normal habits to ensure uninterrupted use.
Confirming Debit Card Activity
As always, please be diligent in monitoring transaction activity on all of your accounts and contact us immediately if you identify any fraudulent transactions.
- CNB offers a monitoring service to detect suspicious activity on your debit card. If suspicious activity is detected, you will be contacted via text message, email, and/or phone call to confirm the transaction.
- Note: If you receive a text message asking for private information, it is likely a scam. Our monitoring system will provide you information that you can confirm easily, such as a Yes or No response, but it will not ask you to provide specific details such as your account or card details via text.
- The phone call will come from an automated system and will similarly ask you to confirm recent transactions.
- If you miss the call, the automated system will leave a voicemail with instructions on how to call back and what case number to reference.
Note: To better protect our cardholders from spoofing scams, these automated calls will come from various phone numbers instead of a single static phone number. If you have the previous static phone number for EnFact saved as a contact, please note that number is now retired and should be deleted.
